The Importance of Preservation
Historic preservation plays a vital role in maintaining the cultural heritage and character of a community, and more specifically this beautiful home. By conserving historic buildings and landmarks, we not only protect our shared history but also promote sustainability and a sense of place. Preserving these structures allows future generations to connect with the past and fostering a deeper connection with historic craftsmanship. Here at the Blenman Inn we have, and will continue to, preserve this part of our city's history the best we can!

Sara Page Suite
In the late 1990's, a significant discovery was made about the Sara Page: a hidden mural dating back to 1878. This mural, along with a handwritten document and a beautiful painting were uncovered during restoration efforts, providing valuable insights into the Inn's rich history. This mural is thought to reflect the artistic and cultural influences of the period, showcasing local craftsmanship and the Inn's connection to Tucson's development in the late 19th century. The discovery is not just a historical artifact but a tangible connection to the people who resided in the Blenman House. The mural serves as a reminder of the stories and artistry that are often hidden beneath layers of time. As of right now the mural is hidden with a dropped ceiling, the plan being to raise the ceiling and reveal the mural. We are hoping to have this historical preservation project completed by 2028 which is the 150th anniversary of the home being constructed.
